Tankmate for a Firemouth Cichlid

I have a 35 gallon hexagon tank with a single Firemouth in it. I was wondering if I could add another type of cichlid to it.

i wouldnt do it, with such a small bottom space i think the firemouth will make quick work of something else in there with him, firemouths are very territorial...

Agreed with Acer. Your tank is pretty much stocked with just one already.

ya these guys arent totally agressive per say, its more that they are territorial and want a larger chunk of bottom to call theirs.. im currently breeding some Thorichthys Maculipinnis Aka Ellioti, they are a little less territorial than firemouths but arent punks either. they are able to keep vieja fenestratus and nics at bay and have wrigglers going right now in a cave...
