Temporary "OFF" timer.

I am trying to find a 120VAC timer whereby I can "press the button" and have it turn OFF my filter for 20 minutes to an hour... exact time not critical.
I want to use this when feeding... then have the filter turn back on after a while.
All I can find is timers that go ON for a period of time !
Can anyone identify a timer that will go OFF, instead?

The really old style lamp timers have those little clips in them for turning off and on to make it look like you are at home during day and evening.

^^^ Was thinking the same thing. You can set it so that you have a few windows of time for feeding. Not quite the on demand option you were looking for but cheap alternative.

It can be done, but you'll probably have to make one with a timer and relay.

It's an "On delay timer switch". I see a lot of 12vdc applications but not
much in the way of 120vac, except for industrial use.

I'll probably make something up. The old-fashioned 24 hr timer is an interesting idea, but I think the time period would be too variable - anywhere from 0 to 60 mins.

I could use a BRS (big red switch) to interrupt power and put a delay-start relay in line, serially.
