Termin-ATE. Anyone heard of it?

Just went to edspetworld.com and found a jar of an old bacteria product that is supposed to digest nitrates. The label is all torn up and I can't find squat on it. Does anyone know when it was made or if it works?

Any bacterial product has a limited shelf life so I wouldn't expect it to still be functional. That being said, there aren't many nitrate consuming bacteria out there or they would be more prevalent in our tanks so I would imagine it's a snake oil product.
