tetras help

I'm adding glow light tetras and neon tetras to my 10 gallon and I'm adding them 3 at a time in groups of 3. I currently have 3 glowlights and 3 neons will they just school together

They might they might not. Its said that similar size and looking tetra will school together, but I havent seen it happen yet.

If they do will the six I have be enough for a school

You will have a better chance with 6 of the same kind, I do have 6 rummynose tetras, and 2 cardinal tetras in my tank, and the cardinals always stay "close" to the rummy noses but they don't swim together, the cardinals trend to swim as a pair by themselves.

I've been watching them for the past day and they've been at least shopping with eachother. They stay pretty close and usually all swim together

I "inherited" a gallon tank w/a beta and a tetra. Is a pump necessary? The noise is driving me CRAZY!
