Hey everyone... first time working with a skimmer not so sure what it should be looking like.. tank has been up for about 4 days... what you think?

Pretty light in color, may want to adjust it down a bit. Should be the color of black coffee and stink pretty bad too.
I may take a week or two to get it broken in. Are you cycling the tank right now?
The bubbles look good though. Nice and big.

yeah im cycling right now. I was told it would not hurt to run the ph and skimmer through the cycle. Thought it would help brake things in by the time its ready to really do its job. Should i empty it out around half way?

one more question.. should i top off during the cycle?

you can empty when ever you want... Top off is a good idea, you want to get used to doing things with the tank before you get fish and corals. So getting into a routine is a good idea, like top offs, testing ect.
