Hello Everyone,
Well, I finally bought a functioning UV light and that along with every other day WC, and my tank is finally clearing up after a 2 month long algae bloom. First I bought new lights, and then I over cleaned my filter media.
After exhaustive search online and on here, it sounded like perhaps my plants weren't getting enough nutrients. I have never fertilized other than root tabs. I do a daily shot of Excel as well, but my plants seemed to do well without additional ferts. Now, I have purchased some Thrive after reading an article that recommended it. I searched on here and found some posts in the past that mentioned people using it.
Does anyone have any comments about me adding Thrive to my tank? I've cut down on feeding and light time, and will probably cut back on the UV in another week.
Any responses as usual, are greatly appreciated.
