Tiny Feather Dusters on Hermit Shell?

Hey Everyone,

I bought two scarlet hermits recently, and just noticed what look like tiny feather dusters on their shells.

Is this normal? Any idea what these are?

If they are feather dusters I would say its fairly normal. I've seen them on my crabs backs.
