Tips on catching a CAE

I need to catch my Chinese algae eater out of my 69g planted tank, does anyone have any tips on how to catch him, ideally I don't want to have to take everything out including plants just to get him..

My buddy uses a drinking cup to trap his elusive fish when changing out his tanks for cleaning. Works good also for catching eel type fish too.
