How should I transport my fish for a 4 hour car ride?, in 5 gallon buckets and what else

4 hours is like nothing. A bucket with a bubbler would be good. Depending on the amount of fish possibly 2 buckets You could ask a lfs for large bags and keep them in individual bags with air and water.

If it holds water safely it'll work. I did all of mine in 5 gallon buckets.
