Hello, i have recently been having trouble with a major algae bloom in my tank. The algae is causing the tank water to turn green and despite doing many water changes and leaving the lights off for a bit I haven't been able to get rid of it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Algae blooms are usually the result of water chemistry imbalances typical in new setups. Be patient, keep up your weekly WC schedule, and things will eventually level out.

I know of only a UV light to get rid of the green water fast (by fast I mean 4-7days depending), that's if you can't be patient like V227 suggests. Algae blooms are to much light or to much nutrients, or a combo of both.

Can you list your tank setup?? How long its been running etc.
