I have a 200 gallon reef tank, fully stocked with LR, refugium dedicated to copepods. Bought what I thought(was told by LFS) was a male and female. They are 2 males and fighting. I tried for 1/2 hour to catch on of them. No luck and my tank and the coral cannot take any more disruption. Any chance they will live together peacefully. I am so upset . thanks Marci

Welcome to AA!

They will probably continue to fight until one is no longer with you. They are territorial fish, peaceful except with their own kind. Even a male and a female may fight.

Good luck in catching one of them I hope you manage to do it. They are amazing little fish.

Male mandarins in same tank

Thanks for all the replys. I'm going to try to catch them with one of the helpful articles that was sent to me. So far they are both still in, but you can feel the tension. Thanks for the help
