After reading several posts with people having issues with there tanks , I felt it needs to be out there!!!

This advise is free!!
please use it

Test your water religiously Daily at the same time each day
Make a log of all your parameters
Nitrites
Nitrates
Ammonia
PH
Temp
Salinity
and also list everything you did to the tank that day
Feeding (how much and what food you fed)
same for coral
with dates/times you preformed them
Fish added
water changes
coral/rock added
ect
this will help you more than you think
this will help you see the things changing in your tank
and when a issue started and can help pin point your problem so it can be corrected asap
it takes maybe 5 mins to list everything you did to your tank
this is my log I used Microsoft works to make the chart

I also have a log book that I use when I have my water double checked at the pet store weekly
that way theres something to compare to if a issue a rises

since I started this I not once had a problem I couldn't correct on my own before I started loosing fish!!!

This log is your tanks life line
you will see all the slightest changes to all the major changes

The best part is you can see things in your tank that have changed over a period of time
I can tell you what happen to my tank 6 months ago without having to try to remember all the big details
over time its like a x ray of your tank and you'll see and know every detail of your tanks health and progress(y)(y)

Your tank will thank you
your fish will thank you
and most of all you'll thank yourself for doing it!!!

REMEMBER A HAPPY TANK IS A HEALTHY TANK!!
