Vinyl wrap?

So my husband is into bodywork, he has an auto body shop and I have been wanting to add a black background to my tank... Anybody use vinyl wrap on they're tanks? I hear a lot about painting them. He brought home some today, we haven't applied it yet. Just curious to see if others have any experience with it?

i prefer flat colors shiney seams to bother them
