Water alkalinity ph

Is it normal when my alkalinity carbon is @ 214 or a little higher and do I have to check ph And what it the number I have to maintain I heard about 8.5 or 7.0

I'm having trouble understanding the ph thing I got everything else except that sorry for my ignorance.

PH should be between 8.0 and 8.4. Alkalinity should be between 7-11 dKh.
 
Your alk is fine your measurement is in ppm. Converted its about 11 dKh
 
Online. Um marinedepot, drsfoster and smith, most marine websites will have them. They are $50 each I think.
