water level

IT has been about 6 days since i got my aquarium set up. Today i noticed that the water level has dropped about a little less than a half inch since i got it in there. What should i do?

Add dechlorinated water.

Add water. For that small amount, dechlor isn't necessary.

Depends on if the local water source uses Chlorine or Chloramines

Evaporation is normal. Do you have a tank lid or hood? I find that the hinged glass lids prevent evaporation better than the plastic hoods.

I do my water changes once a week, so I never really have to add water just to make up for evaporation.
If you do add water between water changes, I would add a few drops of declhlor - the stuff is cheap enough; why take chances?
