Will cleaning the carpet right in front of my 36 g freshwater tank be harmful to my fish? I have a regular store bought carpet cleaner and was planning on using Resolve cleaner in it. The only warning on the label is to not drink it or get in the eyes. My tank is about 3 feet above the carpet on a wet bar cabinet.

id just cover with towels or plastic wrap for a while you clean maybe even foil

Turn off any air pumps. They will inject the fumes into the tank.
