Water Temperature too high?

I am just starting a new tank and my water ranges from 79 to 82.5 but averages around 81. Is this something that I should concern myself with . I am wanting to add a ray and some chromis.

78 to 82 are ideal temps. You should be OK.

I agree, stability is important so your steady 81 should be fine.
