My 29 gallon goldfish tank showed high Ammonia yesterday so i done a 50% water change then add "Prime" to it.Today i tested for all water test that i have and here are the results.

Temp=68
PH=6.0
Ammonia=6.2 :?:
Nitrate=5.0
Nitrite=.25

I read the ammonia test and it stated that even after using "Prime" etc. that the Ammonia test would still show high but would be safe for the fish.Any help you can give please.

Well Gold Fish are very hardy and can take harsher water conditions, just keep doing waterchanges and you should be fine. Also your tank may be in a minicycle also

Have you had the tank long or is it cycling? That ph is way low for goldies. It should be closer to 8. You should try to raise it slowly as soon as the ammonia is gone.

No depot it's been up awhile.Last week when i used me gravel vac i went deep and got alot of the brown out of the gravel and may have made a mistake.
