Wax worms for koi?

A store was selling wax worms and I decided to give them a go and feed them to my koi would this harm them at all?

Wax worms are safe for fish. Some people pinch of the heads of meal worms and meal worm like feeders ( wax worms). Some believe meal worms can eat their way out of the fish but this has almost never been documented.
