Weird small anemone

On my live rock i have this little weird piece of anemone or something, i forget what its called but i remember hearing its bad for my aquarium.. whats it called again?? thanks

aiptasia? or a majano, get them out now before they spread, they are bad and not very nice looking either

aiptasia thats it. its a new tank just cycling right now the only piece of live rock in it. Should i scrub it like crazy or will the biological break down take care of it when i get live stock?

don't scrub, it wont make it any better, if anything itll be worse

if you want you can pull the rock out, and burn the aip off with a lighter or something like that.

theres also aiptasia X (used it and dont recommend it) and joe's juice, if its cycling id suggest boiling some water, putting it in a turkey baster, and squirting the bugger with it in the tank, or inject it with some lemon juice, there are plenty of options. just google it lol

I'm finding that bi-color angels eat majano naturally. And they stay small.
