Is there such a thing as "worms" and springtails used in vivarium for example? Something that can turn my aquarium substrate even more active?

I'm sure there is this type of life in nature, can i mimic this inside an aquarium? I just had this thought and posted right here cause i couldn't find it easy on the internet.

Thank you

I'm quite sure after time small detritus worms will probably populate your substrate. Also small micro organisms not seen by the naked eye will be on and in the soil substrate as well.

"Copepod"

Many aquarists go to great lengths to create a large healthy population in either their tank or refugium. Remember, these “bugs” are a natural part of a healthy aquarium ecosystem, as well as an important food source required by some species to survive. In most cases they won't hurt anything.
