I currently have two Angelicus Botia loaches aka polka dot loaches. The place I got them from ordered me a third one since everyone told me they need to be in a group of at least three. So far the ones I have seem good. The LFS that ordered an extra for me stated he is not sure when he will get it in as they are wild caught. Anyway, is it cause for concern that they are short a loach for their recommended group minimum? What are the possible issues with that in loaches or any fish that require group minimums?

I have 3 yo-yo loaches and while they often hang together the biggest one often toddles around for long periods of time alone. I think 2 will be fine and when you can add a 3rd.
