what is on my LR?

The second picture is an aiptasia anemone. Going to want to take care of it before it starts to multiply. Not enough detail in the first picture of the red thing to take a guess at it.

thanks! that's the best pic i can take of the first one. but if it helps, it has somewhat of a white tube...it's still growing.
just want to know if they are good or bad.

I'd say first is a zoanthid of some sort and the second is an aptaisia. Goodluck!

Those little red ones are not feather dusters, they are aptasia, and you do not want these. Get some peppermint shrimp and they will get rid of them for you !

Do not count on pep shrimps to get rid of them. It's hit or miss. They may munch on smaller ones, but once they get a certain size, peps won't touch them.

Thanks for all replies. If it helps, the thing in the first pic hides inside a white tube that stems from it; I shined my flash light at it and it went inside then slowly came out.

That may be a mini duster. Even the second pic looks like a duster too!
