What is this?

Not really sure what this is some sort of white particle or something that has settled on my live rock and just about anything else in the tank it can. Any ideas? And if you do know then is it bad for the tank and/or fish?

It's been up and running for about about 7 weeks

Have you blown any of the die off with a turkey Baster? I did that right before I did water change to get the loose stuff of the rocks then pulled it out with the water change water. You won't get it all in one change but over time (weeks) it gets better.

I havent but I will thanks. Just curious if this is what it is is it hurting the tank in anyway?

It will look pretty bad at first so don't be scared, what ever you don't get with the water will settle and you can repeat with the next pwc.

It could also just be sediment from your sand.
