What is this?

anyone know what this is? I suppose I shouldnt buy things without knowing what they are... The kid didnt do a good job removing it from the display tank... It came apart in a couple different pieces.

It looks like water sprite to me, but I could be wrong.

Hmm. Of the few pictures Ive seen of watersprite, one pic resembled this somewhat, the rest didnt resemble it at all. I did find a Myriophyllum species that looked similar as well.

Yeah, i got a few of the water sprite plant that did this leaf style, the rest stayed the normal big leaf look, guess just a naturally occuring mutation, or diff. species.

huh, that looks like something that you'd grow in a garden... like an herb or the top of a carrot...

If water sprite grows on the surface, the leaves that stick out into the air have a slightly different appearance. The new leave should that your plants get should be more what you expect from water sprite.
