what is wrong with my gourami?

my husband pointed out to me this morning that something happened to the scales on my gold gourami. is a vet visit in order or did she just hurt herself?

My gourami looked the same after he got himself stuck between a rock and the tank wall, and it healed up eventually. He could have gotten burned by the heater also. It could be something more serious though, and you should definitley keep an eye on him. If it gets bigger, you will need to treat.
