What kind of backgrounds do they use at LFS?

It almost looks like a piece of plastic. Do they paint them on, or what? I am sick of mine because there are all these little dents in it from handling and what not. How are the vinyl black backgrounds?

I use black paint. I roll it on if the tank is already set up.

you can purchase thin acrylic for very cheap at just about any hardware store and paint whatever color you like, a different color on each side in case you get bored
