O this guy showed up in my tank a couple of days ago. Iv been told its a bristle worm and to watch out because the fire bristles are poisinous. Can anyone identify this guy for me? Is he dangerous to the welfare of my tank or should i just leave him?

They will attack sick and dieing fish and eat dead ones, but for the most part in my opinion they are good because they add to your clean up crew. Some species will sting, but im not sure about this one. Luckily for me i dont have any in mu reef but you can get meds to kill them if you want.

there a good guy good part clean up crew but if there over 4 inch remove them just avoid their bristles
as they can become a nuisance crawling over corals when they get bigger

Thanks guys. Its hard to tell how big he is because iv never seen him completely out of the rock he hides in but i would guess about 3 inches

They don't "attack" anything. They simply smell food, and go to it, and eat it.
They all do the same thing, no matter what size they are. If you find that you have many large worms, it's a sure sign that there is an abundance of food for them...meaning you are overfeeding.
