I decided to create a new topic based on the fact that my wife really wants Angelfish! So my list now will be based off of having Angelfish as primary and then whatever can be put into a tank with them.

1) Zebra Danios (currently have 5 in tank) (I can relocate them in needed)
2) 4-6 Bosemani Rainbow fish
3) 6-10 Cory Catfish
4) Phantom guppies
5) Endler's liverbearer
6) Pitbull Plecos
7) 2 Siamese algae eater
8) 8 Jumbo Neon Tetras
9) Bleeding heart

Please advise on what would work with Angelfish, or if there is another fish that would work with Angelfish. Thanks

Really mostly Angelfish!!!

What size tank is this or are you planning?

Only partially kidding. I have a 72G tank and my Angels seem to pair well but then spend all the time attacking the other fish.

So I would say 1 beautiful male Angelfish or more male Angels recommended to me by Andy Sager Angelfish specialist!

All the bottom fish on your list are good.

I have Boesemani pair will be getting additional Rainbow fish, The female is always being attacked by the previous female Angel (she just found a new home).

There are Cardinals and Green Neons, used to have Harlequin Rasboras too, Diamond Tetras, (think lemon Tetras might be nice but I haven't had them) Glowlight Tetras.

Now have Emperor Tetras, I would recommend those fish they are fast and smart but school nicely and are pretty and have a unique shape.

Guppies and Endlers will spend time making lots of live fish food for the Angel(s).

75 gallon tropical freshwater tank. Already done cycling. Just waiting to see what fish I want to put in the tank.

I have been doing some research, and I know everyone will have different opinions, but it looks like if I want Angelfish, I might be safest just getting 1.

My 2 pair did nothing but stress out everything in the tank (and me), except the Cories who weren't in the way. It is hard to get (or know if they are) adult male fish, though you can sometimes from a breeder or hobbyist who has had theirs pair up and have an extra.

One Angel will help keep a calm enjoyable tank. They are really stunning fish!
