Silver Dollars with tiger barbs. Main reason, silver dollars are schooling fish, as are balas. SD and bala sharks both get quite large as well. I think you'd have a much more colorful and interesting tank with the silver dollars and tiger barbs.

Good point !
SD and BS are both silver, there will be no contrast in the tank.


I managed to get 8 tiger barbs -
4 green tiger barbs
4 black/orange striped
