So I've had my canister filter for 3 weeks I think. Its a sunsun canister filter and it looks like to be something dirty in the hoses? What is it? Those brown dots, as you can see its in the other hose as well.

It's just gunk from the tank, every external gets it in the hoses and it will need cleaned every now and then as you notice the flow rate drop into the tank. Different cleaners available for doing it and you can DIY one yourself, I use an Eheim one for my Eheim external - long wire with brush at the end, just pull it through a few times and as good as new.

Looks like normal buildup; mine get that way after a while. You can take them apart and use something like a dryer vent brush to clean inside and get the gunk out (they sell them for aquariums too but the ones for dryers work and they're cheaper).
