What's wrong with my thermometer?

The suction cup on my thermometer worked fine for over a year and now it won't stick to the inside of the tank. It sticks for a few hours then comes off. Anyone know why?

Try soaking it in vinegar for a few min and make sure the glass is super clean where you are trying to stick it. My heater suction does it from time to time.

I almost made a thread about this today. My small power head keeps falling over at night because of the suction cups not holding it.

I'm going to try this out. My thermometer has been floating aimlessly in my for about a year now.

You can get replacement suction cups if cleaning isn't helping. The rubber becomes brittle over time and won't hold. I use a standing thermometer now because I got tired of the thermometer bobbing around.

I just use a digital thermometer. 10$ ain't bad for one
