Where to find egg crate material?

Ok, I built my first sump last night and am in need of some egg crate material or other pourous material to hold filtration media in place.

Where do you buy it and what is it used for? I know I have seen it before, but I am thinking it was in association with lighting or ceiling covers. The hardware store had no idea.

Any help appreciated.

recessed flourescent lighting. home depot or lowes is probably your best bet.

Hardware store, Ace, HomeDepot, Lowes, SOme place like that. I have seen it in Home Depot in the lighting isle. They called it something like flourescent light protector or something but describe it to them and they iwll know.

Thanks, I thought it might be associated with lighting. The local ACE did not have it, I will check the bigger stores.

Try a lighting store or even your local plastic/acrylic/glass store. They should be able to cut it for you in the sizes you want.
