Whisper power filter loud

So I have a #30 whisper power filter and it's not so whisper it's Loud and irritating any advice to quiet it down?

With mine it is set on carpet, but I have noticed that if it is touching anything else ie. Floor boards, the stand, anything under it, it is considerably louder because it does vibrate against these things. Maybe take that into consideration?

It's on a 29 gallon glass tank on a wood stand the Stand is on lanoleum flooring.

Try putting a cloth under it? Maybe that will help ease the vibration...?
