White critters ob glass

So as of yesterday I noticed these little white things on the glass. They are WAY to small for a photo. The only way I can describe them is tiny, white, about the size of the trip of a pencil lead (maybe bigger) and it looks like they have 5 legs. Almost like a star but you can see the "legs" blowing in the current. Any clues without a photo?

Ok update, on top of these things I'm seeing other little white guys crawling on the glass. They look like little bugs, are they some sort of pod?

Yup, a developing tank. Amphipods look more like fleas in your tank if that helps with the ID, I've personally never seen/noticed copepods in my tank so I can't really say how they look in person
 
They are both good for you tank, just amphipods can't support a mandarin LOL


Seriously though they're both good, there's only 1 type of pod that's bad that I know of and its the isopod, and only a certain kind of isopod at that
