Home of the situation.
I have a freshwater 16 gallon quarantine tank with bogwood and malaysian drift wood. Filtration is two aquaclear 50s, and some pothos plants. Paramaters are all normal...

Over the course of a week these white things have been sprouting up on the driftwood, and 2 days ago I realized they had become two half inch tall mushrooms. (What?) I thought I should let them grow, to see what else happened.

My water level began to go down, and the return from my ac50 has obliterated them. To say the least, they arent doing well, but heres a picture of how they are. I dont know why I didnt snap pics when they were okay.

Can anyone tell me what they are? So far they havent caused any bad effects to the plecos that go through quarantine.

I had the same thing in my tank when I had my 50 gallon tetra tank. I just pulled them off, but I don't think they'll do much damage.
Good luck!
