White Slime covering wood???

Hi guys,

I set up my marine fish tank one week ago and I have a white slime covering my wood in the background. I was wondering if anybody knows what it is or if it a normal process.

Wood decor should not really be used inside a marine set up unless you are 100% sure of it's source. The possible contaminates they can leach into the water are not worth the risk IMO.

Any chance of posting a pic of the offending "slime"
