white snowflake looking thinds on glass

I have tiny white snowflake looking things on my glass. I have no idea what they are. Maybe pineapple sponges of eggs of some sort??? Anyone know what this could be. Here's a pic. Kinda blurry. They are pretty small..

hydroids?

Commonly found in new tank setups where small debris or particules may feed them. Come and go on their own. Will probably die off as the tank matures. May harm fry. (this is what i read after googling)
