Anyone have these? Are the peaceful community fish?

I have had many in the past! Yes, they are quite well-mannered if you keep them in large enough groups. On occasion that can be fin nippers but I have never experienced this.

They do get quite large- minimum of a 55 gallon tank, preferably 75 gallon as they can get to 8 inches and need groups of at least 5
