I kept my first 10 gallon guppy tank when I was 8 years old (Of course mom was elected to perform the water changes, but i was a pretty dang good glass scrubber with that magnetic algae scrubber we had).
11 years later
I've been keeping and caring for fish for over 11 years now. I'm 19 years old and I know what you're thinking. (It's his parents tank)
Well actually everything in this tank including the tank itself and the staff it sits on was purchased by my chore money when I was younger, and my job money now. I live in my parents house so I'm able to invest money into this passion and still put myself through college as a Finance Major.
Now that you know everything about me.....
TANK SPECS:
140 gallon glass tank(must have been custom built?)

FISH:
1 Hippo blue tang
2 Yellow tangs

2 Blue Green Chromis (There was a school of 9)
1 Mandarin Goby
(HERE ME OUT) The blue tang was a friends who had it in a 400 gallon for 2 years. PROBLEM: He bought it from a Petco. So I'm guessing the Tang is stunted? He hasn't grown in all this time.... eats like a pig...???
CORALS:
1 Purple Hammer Coral (42 heads)
1 Green Frogspawn (4 Heads)
1 Orange Scolymia (He lost all his color but is regaining the orange slowly)
1 Purple and Green Acan (20 Heads)
3 Metallic Green Trumpets (114 Heads)
3 Mettalic GSP Colonies (Lost count)
24 Assorted Mushrooms (24 Shrooms)
1 Tiny Puls Xenia
5 Devils hand Leathers
3 Zoanthid Small Colonies
FOOD:
I feed 3 small meals a day for the fish and i spot feed the corals twice a week
New Life Spectrum pellets for the fish.
PE Mysis and Oyster Feast for the Corals.
The Mandarin eats his Tigger Pods which I dose every other month.
The tank has been setup for one year now. I started my first reef tank 3 years ago in a 28 gallon. Not long after it was upgraded to a 75 gallon. I kept the 75 for over a year and had a great tank, but bigger is always better... Right??
lool
NEW ADDITIONS:
So I'm wanting to add another Kessil a150. I want some more blue in the tank. To tell the truth. I want the same look of some of those almost purple lights that make every coral in the tank pop out. WOULD A KESSIL A150 20K DO THE JOB? ANY BETTER SUGGESTION? As far as budget goes I'm not looking to drop $500 on a new lighting system at the moment. I just spent the money on a couple of new corals which will get here Wed 18th. But I'm willing to drop around $300.
