I've had one. The flow rate would be pretty dismal on a 10g for anything other than biofiltration. We actually used one on a 10g that had two male bettas in it (divided through the middle by an opaque mesh), in which case the low flow was desirable.

I use it on a SW Nano tank(just for inverts) . It does the job but I wouldn't rave about it. Flow rate is a joke though. I ended up adding a circulation pump.
