After a year in our new home, I finally got the chance to set up a tank. I did have a little ten set up just to house my og Petey-Plecostomus and a gbr. When I took down my 55 a year ago all the fish were donated to the local club, but I couldn't let those two go. The ten was far from sharing-worthy, what with the big bag of ceramic media sitting on the substrate and all...
After a while I put two harlequin raspboras in there to give my son something a little more exciting to watch. But then he finally got tall enough to reach in there, so up went the 30-gallon :p!
I'm using an xp2 for filtration seeded with the mentioned ceramic media. I don't expect much of a cycle with the small bio-load, and it will be a while before any other stock goes in it. When the time comes, I'm thinking a couple female gbrs and a bunch more raspboras. Of course, stocking opinions are welcome.
The 55 is sitting in the basement, empty. The basement is ready-to-finish, and I plan to put that tank into the wall between my office and the play-room. We'll see... :yum:
