Hi, I've always wondered if bettas get angry/stressed when their bubble nest is destroyed. The top of my Bettas tank has a snap on lid, so when I open it to feed him, it gives it a little shake nothing huge but enough to give the surface a little shake.

Anyhow, today I went the feed the little guy and when I snapped opened the lid, I saw a huuuuuuge bubble nest, about the size of a dvd disc. Unfortunately the little shake I gave the tank began to break apart his nest.

So I was wondering, does this cause any harm to the betta?

Ok that's good, cause I figured his hard work getting destroyed must have bothered him at least a little. LOL

mine hasn't made one since he was scared by the cat but I suspect he may once he's over that. my friends fish makes a new nest every time they change his water within a few days. I suppose it might bug them a little but they seem to rebuild when they are ready.
