I'm a rare breed of woman, I hate to shop. When I do shop, it's a planned event. If I do tell hubby "let's stop by the lfs today", it's because I already know what I want.

So no, I don't impulse buy. How boring!!! :hide:

My 45 gallon tank and stand. First time browsing Craigslist, saw it for $125. The same day I went and got it.

Oh your missing out lynda! Lol. I could browse the shops for hours! :D

Even when I was younger, I recall thinking my girlfriends were from some alien galaxy because every weekend, they wanted to cruise the mall. I mean, c'mon, the mall changes that much weekly that you have to go that often? :nono:

Angelfish. Not my impulse buy, but my daughters. We now have 10. Two in one 55g, 3 in a second 55g and 5 very little ones in a 29g. I can see problems down the line, but they are all very pretty and how can you say NO?

Here's a picture of the impulse buy I posted about yesterday. The yellow one has red on the edge of all his fins(tequila sunrise guppy). The blue one is blue pearl. I don't know how to describe the yellow/blue/black/green one.

My female GBR was an impulse buy, but I don't ever buy anything unless I know what I'm getting into ;)
cruising for tanks on craigslist is too tempting for me, though. I have to avoid it because I have no room for another tank, but I feel like I would buy a huge one and just let it sit empty in the garage until I can use it lol

That sounds like a plan! I have lots of garage space! Maybe a little 100 gallon quarantine tank ;)

I've never had an impulse buy because my dad is always right there with me and he hates impulse buys lol.

Well, George9, someday you will be faced with the ability to impulse buy and you will grateful to your dad for giving you all this training to not buy impulsively!

Bought 2 6 inch Red Oscars off a chinese restaurant for my manager for a display tank in our shop :)
I literally went upto them and said "can i buy your fish?"
Bought them both for £60...
Steal me thinks :)

I've been trying to find apistogrammas for a while now, and at the beginning it was an impulse, but now it's just angering me that I cannot find any to satisfy my impulse haha.

These guys were my impulse buy:

They were $19.99 each... Together they costed more than most of my setup! But I had never seen Electric Blue Rams before, and they were bred locally, so I figured they would be used to my water. Happened to stop on my lunch break one day. It was a shop I had never even seen before. Went back to that day after work and picked them up!

This photo was in November. Can't believe I have had them that long...
