I checked your threads. Your no one to give advise no offense. Overstocking Africans cuts down on the aggression level. You need good filtration and keeping up with water changes. Do some research before u comment. To many opinions and not enough facts.

Overstocking is done normally when you don't have a good stock list. I'm new to the hobby still, but not to new to know that 30 cichlids and a Oscar is over stocked for a 60 gallon. A Oscar alone in a 60 gallon would work I guess. Also only doing 25% water changes a week only, not gonna cut it. Once those fish grow larger, the water will deteriorate pretty quickly. Start a new thread and ask if your stock list is ok. I forgot about the JD you have in there too. No offense, but just telling you what's kind of obvious.

Yeah thats true but that means like 20... But you overstocked your tank with 32 africans an 10in jack dempsey (full sized)
And an oscar who will grown to 16in... Your overstocked think what you want but the reason everyone is telling you this is because its true...

The fish are like an inch to two inches. Not fully grown. The tank is not over stocked right now and the parameters are fine. No one asked of I was going to upgrade to a larger tank..... Your speaking to me like you know all the details.

Key statement. "Once those fish grow larger" did you ask me if I had a larger tank or not? Did you ask if I had a plan when they grew up? Nope...

Even though your fish are only small that is still an overstocked tank think what you want but no need in give you advice no offence but your being a bit stubborn. Your not getting my help because its no use even trying to make you understand...

Well I'm going to assume, whether you do or don't actually have a larger tank, your going to tell me you do. Or that you have a plan to re home the Oscar, the JD and a handful of others, because obviously you wouldn't want to be proven wrong by someone "who is in no position to give advice". So I'll leave it at that, you win, the fish lose. Kudos to you bud.

Saying hes not in a position to give advice nether are you. Im not an expert but i looked at your threads and his and saw that you both ask a lot of questions (i do to) and you shouldnt be saying that if you are asking some dumb questions to no offense.

I understand what your saying. I am overstocked but there's nothing wrong with it as long as your willing to put the time and money into it. I didn't just go out and buy 1000 fish with no idea of what I was doing. I did a lot of research and spoke with many experts on it and I have a good grasp on it. I've just gotten alot of bad advise from people that have no right to be giving it. Sorry if I seem stubborn :)

I don't give much advice at all. I think I have only done it 2 or 3 times and I also stated in my advice that I was not someone who had a lot of experience. I could only speak from what I have gone through. I did ask dumb questions a few months ago. I've gotten my answers from that and now I have a understanding of that topic. If I give any advice, I make sure they know I'm no expert.

Yet another thread on where you are asking what type of cichlid you have...

Nvm sorry my link is screwing up

Because there are two different Africans that look just like that. I read that the breeders who deliver to the LFS say they are electric blue johannies but could be Maingano's. needed some help with the ID so I posted it.

Yeah i know what you mean but you do understand that your tank is overstocked right?

Besides being overstocked which I know you know your chichlids look skinny and malnourished what is your feeding scheme??? Take a look at your pics their stomachs are all sunken in! Either they are too scared to eat with the Americans in there or you ain't feeding enough or maybe worms either one I would try sort something out!

I think you should take out the oscar, the JD and 15 of the africans just my personal prefrence im not an expert of cichlids but i would do that

Plan is the Americans will remain in the 60 gallon. The African will be moved to a 200 gallon tank
