Yes! I was separating the subwassertang and fissidens fontanus this morning and found 3 plantlets from the Java in there.

Sneaky! It just seems to appear.

I decided to weight it down with a weight and fishing line so not so untidy. Will see if it does better than the broad-leaf.

Noticed the tunze CO2 diffuser wasn't working on left side and pulled it out. Luckily just needed a clean but debating on getting a backup one. Might have not been working for over a week but the right side one was still working so some CO2 getting pushed around tank.

Was forced to look behind tank to find plug and yet again thought I should try colour coding the cords. Christmas maybe..

Decided to make an equipment list to make a start and then match it to the timers.

Lights - t5ho & nemo LED.

Heaters - 2

CO2 diffuser with powerhead - 2

Filters - 2 canister & 1 internal

Air pump - not going but in cupboard.

UV unit - hmm, looks like part of cords are still attached behind tank and rest must be somewhere in drawers (to find).

Slide out tanks - that's what I need :) It would only take 10 minutes then. I've started colour tagging a few times but it's such a mess of cords.

Yes indeed. it is a task way in the back of the "to do" list. But if I did do it, it would likely save me so much time.

How about the sticky tape label maker - one label for the top area of cord and one for where it plugs in.

And btw how come all power strips don't have side ways plug that way you could plug the power supplies in next to each other since they wont fit stacked?!?

The coloured cords would be great. The main trouble is the cords start under the tank and then become a mess behind the tank. I've suggested getting power points either side of tank (could be hidden with a larger tank but sadly knocked back). Then there was the idle question of how power this stuff is all using to decided to quit while I was ahead. I'll have to look in the store for coloured cords though as that would be great.

If you can't find colored cords, then look for colored tape. Place a strip of colored tape every 1' (30 cm) of the length of the cord and at the plugs.

I bought white gorilla tape and wrote on it with black sharpie big enough where I didn't need glasses to read it.

Thanks everyone! Might have to do something as other CO2 diffuser might be playing up and need to trace cords back.

Somehow started early on water change and finished late (like 2hrs just went). Fiddled around with another spot for the buce, I think I'll give up. The catfish pushed it out of the nice cranny I found for it, so I've tied it back on with fishing line to the rock and glued it this time in another spot. Hoping it stays, poor thing never knows what direction it should grow in week by week.

The other one is still in same spot ok.

True! Post away - might see if I can get one with less light. I wish I could put the hood back on as it looks really nice with that but too much work lifting off / on.

Have to check the buce tonight and see if it is still where I left it glued....

You can really get a sense of the size!

Too small?! I must confess now I think longer than that would be tricky for plants. Maybe could just get away with a 5ft if some sort of planting tool was used.

Found the buce. Still there. Not keen on the location now but need to prune the aponogeton and will see after that. Might shift back to where it was but drain water out and glue properly.
