I just picked up this little fellow at my favorite LFS. It is one of the Mastacembelid 'Eels' (Spiny Eels) from West Africa, though I'm not even sure of the genus yet, let alone the species. Regardless, it is quite active so far and looks pretty good. -Joe

Just got this little guy in today. This is Polypterus endlicheri congicus, one of the 'protruding lower jaw' bichirs and will eventually reach nearly 3 feet in length (it is one of the largest of the bichirs). Right now he's about 6 inches long. -Joe
