    130 gallon dirted tank

    Lighting: 72" aquatic life 8 bulb fixture Filter: FX5 canister CO2 this weekend will be installed with a reactor. Heat 2x 200 watt Thinking of doing a "journal" if there's enough interest in them as there are 100s online for this type of tank now. So she's up finally :)

    What lights to go with?

    Most of my plants for awhile will be med light. I plan on CO2 in the future. Ordered some dry ferts. Going with dirt and a sand cap. I'm thinking aquatic life T5HO 6 bulb unit with a the programming goodies. But I need to see if I'm overlooking/ more cost effective way

    Setting up a 130 gal and torn on filters/substrate Eheim 2217x2 Or http://www.truaqua.com/aquatop-canister-filter-cf-500uv.html x2 Both look to be amazing filters. I plan on lots of plants and schooling fish to keep the tank active, a crayfish or shimp as a scavenge clean up crew. Not sure...

    ph/nitrite sky rockets?

    I did a 50 percent water change two days ago Water reading Ph: 7.5 ish Ammonia: .50 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate: 5.0 I added a rock from lfs yesterday testing today has me in a panic Water reading Ph: 8.8 maximum reading Ammonia: .50 Nitrite: 5.0 Nitrate: 10 ppm O.o i'm confused
