How many kribensis cichlids could I fit in a 40g tank(150l)

I would say you could fit 2 pairs of kribenis with a couple tankmates. You could add a school of maybe 7 tiger barbs if you want and a BN pleco.

Yeah, i would agree with those suggestions although i'd make it 8 tigers. You could probably add 6 zebra danios as well, they would be out of the way of the rest and your bioload should be fine.
