First attempt at a decent shrimp tank.

The High light keeps it low. Meaning PAR not hours of light.

The CO2 helps plant use ferts AND helps keep Algae down.

I only use Excel, so don't know answer. I know people who use CO2 with Shrimp...but go cautiously and read up.

Will do. From what I've gathered co2 can go bad bc at night the plants don't photosynthesize and the build up of co2 can cause huge swings in water parameters. Some people said using an air stone at night fixes it though.
I'd also have to made sure I'm not overdoing it bc I'm using excel also.

Yes you can put CO2 on timers or if it's DIY you can put air stone on timer at night. Don't overdo it.

Added some plants and I've been using co2, flourish, Excel and api leafzone. About two weeks difference.

The rilis from shrimpusa.com and the Opae'Ula from shrimpmart.net. Both had great prices.
